01

Last updated

These Terms of Service were last updated on June 5, 2026. They apply to pilot and early paid manual use of Motornauts unless a written pilot agreement, quotation, invoice, or order document says otherwise.

02

Who operates Motornauts

Motornauts is an early-stage startup product operated by Isira Adithya from Colombo, Sri Lanka. Formal company registration is planned. Public company details will be updated when registration is complete.

03

Pilot and early paid use

Motornauts is currently offered for pilot and early paid manual customers. The product may include manual onboarding, configuration support, close feedback cycles, and staged module enablement while the platform matures.

A customer's written pilot agreement, quotation, invoice, order form, or email-confirmed commercial terms will control the specific price, subscription period, included services, modules, onboarding scope, payment timing, cancellation rights, and refund terms for that customer.

04

Agreement priority

If these public Terms conflict with a signed or written pilot agreement, quotation, invoice, or order document for a specific customer, the written customer-specific document controls for that conflict. These public Terms continue to apply to areas not covered by the customer-specific document.

05

Accounts and authorized users

Tenants are responsible for deciding which staff members, branches, roles, and customer portal users may access their workspace. Staff users must use their own accounts, keep login details secure, and only access data they are authorized to handle for the tenant.

06

Tenant responsibilities

Service centers are responsible for accurate customer, vehicle, staff, service, billing, and workshop records. They are also responsible for obtaining any required customer permissions, honoring customer obligations, managing staff access, and using customer notifications correctly.

Tenants must not enter unnecessary sensitive personal data into Motornauts and must keep inspection notes, media, estimates, invoices, and communications relevant to legitimate service-center operations.

07

Customer portal and customer communications

Tenants are responsible for the service messages, approval requests, invoices, payment requests, reminders, and other customer communications they send or trigger through Motornauts. Customer-facing data should be accurate, relevant, and appropriate for the service relationship between the tenant and the vehicle owner.

08

Fees, cancellation, taxes, and refunds

Fees, payment timing, taxes, cancellation, renewal, included usage, setup work, and refunds are governed by each customer's written pilot agreement, quotation, invoice, or order document. Motornauts does not promise a default refund unless the written customer terms say so or applicable law requires it.

Tenants are responsible for their own workshop invoicing, tax treatment, accounting records, and customer payment obligations unless a written agreement says otherwise.

09

Support and availability

Pilot support is provided by best-effort email support through [email protected]. Motornauts does not provide a formal service-level agreement during the pilot unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

The product may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, provider outages, upgrades, configuration work, security events, or network failures. Motornauts will use reasonable efforts to restore service, but uninterrupted access is not promised.

10

Modules, providers, and third-party services

Some functionality depends on third-party services, including authentication, hosting, storage, payment providers, SMS providers, email, DNS, or media processing. Online payments, SMS, custom domains, and inspection videos may be optional, tenant-enabled, pilot, future, or disabled until readiness checks are complete.

11

Platform changes and pilot features

Motornauts may change, add, remove, rename, limit, or disable pilot features, workflows, roles, modules, settings, reports, or integrations as the product matures. Where practical, material tenant-impacting changes will be communicated through onboarding, support, or account channels.

12

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to bypass authentication, tenant isolation, role permissions, rate limits, or security controls.
  • Do not access, copy, alter, export, or disclose customer records unless you are authorized by the tenant.
  • Do not upload malicious files, unlawful content, misleading records, or unrelated sensitive data.
  • Do not use Motornauts to spam customers, send misleading payment requests, or impersonate another person or business.
  • Do not reverse engineer, resell, scrape, overload, or interfere with the platform except where allowed by law or written permission.

13

Suspension and termination

Motornauts may suspend or limit access where needed to protect customers, tenants, the platform, security, provider relationships, unpaid accounts, or legal compliance. A tenant may stop using Motornauts according to the cancellation terms in its written customer agreement, quotation, invoice, or order document.

14

Data ownership and data handling

Service centers keep responsibility for their customer, vehicle, staff, appointment, repair-order, invoice, media, feedback, and operational records. Motornauts processes tenant data to provide, secure, support, and improve the SaaS.

After termination or a valid request, Motornauts may export, return, delete, restrict, or anonymize tenant data where technically practical and legally permitted. Some records may remain in backups, audit logs, payment records, dispute files, or security records for a limited period where needed.

15

Intellectual property

Motornauts owns the software, product design, workflows, documentation, brand assets, platform technology, and improvements to the service. Tenants and users receive only the access rights needed to use the service during the agreed pilot or subscription period.

16

No professional advice

Motornauts provides workflow software. It does not provide legal, accounting, tax, insurance, safety, warranty, or professional workshop advice. Tenants remain responsible for their own professional decisions, customer commitments, regulatory duties, and business operations.

17

Disclaimers and liability limits

Motornauts is provided on a pilot-stage and early commercial basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motornauts limits liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, lost-profit, lost-revenue, lost-data, business interruption, or reputation losses arising from use of the service.

18

Indemnity for tenant misuse

Where permitted by law, tenants are responsible for claims, losses, costs, or disputes that arise from their unlawful use of Motornauts, inaccurate records, unauthorized staff access, improper customer communications, or breach of these Terms or their written customer agreement.

19

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, subject to any written pilot agreement, quotation, invoice, or order document that states otherwise. The parties should first try to resolve disputes in good faith through the contact channels used for the pilot or customer account.

20

Changes to these Terms

Motornauts may update these Terms as the product, providers, modules, pricing, or operating model changes. The updated date above will be changed when a material update is made, and important pilot-customer changes may also be shared by email or onboarding channels.
